FAQ's

A selection of the questions most frequently asked by my customers, together with the appropriate replies. If your specific question is not included, please contact me, on the on-site contact form. I will respond quickly and will do my very best to help.

What are your charges?

Charges vary per service, but hourly rates start at £25 for the first hour. £12.50 for every 1/2 an hour thereafter. My minimum charging period is one hour.

What happens if I an unable to repair the computer?

In this case, my No-Fix-No-Fee * policy means that there will be nothing to pay at all.

My No-Fix-No-Fee policy means that if I don't have the necessary technical knowledge or ability to resolve the problem or effect the repair, then I will not charge the customer.

What happens if the problem still occurs after I have had a look at it, and will you charge?

I will not charge, if the problem still occurs after I have looked at it and I need to be called back. This could be that the spyware you have been getting still pops up etc.

Is there a Callouts fee to pay?

No.

Do you charge for traveling time?

Yes. This is charged depending on where you live.

Can I limit the booking to one hours' work?

Yes, you can choose to limit the booking to one hour and I will do my very best to complete the work within the agreed timescale.

If the repair takes only forty minutes, will I have to pay for a full hour?

My minimum charging period is one hour. If the repair is completed in less time than this, I will offer to stay for the remaining time to carry out a general PC health check or a virus scan, or it could be learning how to working something. Following the initial hour, any additional time is charged in blocks of 30 minutes.

Do you repair printers?

I carry out software related repairs to printers - driver and/or installation problems, however, I do not repair printer hardware failures.

What happens if I need to go away, to do something?

I will only charge for the time I have been there, and if I need to come back the charging period continues from where I left off.
